Nepal Oil Corporation has raised the price of petrol in Kathmandu. With effect from 12 noon on Tuesday, the firm hiked the price for the second time in July.
According to Binit Mani Upadhyaya, the corporation’s spokeswoman, the price of fuel, petrol, and kerosene has increased by Rs 2 per liter. Petrol now costs Rs 129 per liter, while diesel and kerosene now cost Rs 112 per liter. Petrol was formerly priced at Rs 127, while diesel and kerosene were priced at Rs 112.
Earlier, the corporation had increased the price with effect from the night of July 25.
Similarly, the price of cooking gas has increased by Rs 25 per cylinder. Cooking gas at Rs 1,400 now costs Rs 1,425.
